B.C. premier wants national anti-racism plan
British Columbia Premier John Horgan says he'd like to see a federal plan for fighting racism and he'll be addressing the issue when he speaks with the prime minister and premiers during their weekly call. The premier says he's horrified by the violent protests in the United States that were sparked by the death of a black man in police custody. Horgan says despite B.C.'s efforts to treat people equally, there are blemishes on the province's record, including the Chinese Head Tax and ongoing racism towards Indigenous people.
