B.C. recommends no international travel, including U.S.

B.C.'s provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry says due to the global spread of COVID-19, she recommends no travel outside of Canada for B.C. residents, including to the United States. She says the global spread of COVID-19 makes it too risky to travel outside of Canada. Henry also recommends groups and organizations cancel all gatherings and events larger than 250 people. She also announced seven new COVID-19 cases bringing B.C.'s total to 53. She says one of the new cases includes a man in his 90's who is a resident of a long-term care home in West Vancouver. Earlier this week, a man in his 80's who was a resident of a North Vancouver care home became Canada's first COVID-19 death.
