B.C. to create Sept. 30 reconciliation day holiday
The B.C. government has introduced legislation to create a National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as a statutory holiday. Labour Minister Harry Bains says the paid day for all workers would give people the opportunity to mark the resilience of residential school survivors and honour the children who never made it home.
