Conservatives pitch changes to student supports to address youth joblessness

MP Garnett Genuis rolled out the Conservative party’s plan to address high levels of youth unemployment, which includes a call to change federal supports for low-income and other in-need students. He said funding via the Canada Student Financial Assistance Program should be relatively higher for students studying in fields that produce better career outcomes. (Oct. 15, 2025)
