Critic says Quebec energy deal doesn’t serve N.L.

David Vardy, a former chair of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Public Utilities Board, is among a number of critics who say the province’s new energy deal with Quebec isn’t good enough. The draft deal would see Hydro-Québec pay more for power from Labrador and lead more hydro projects on the Churchill River. (Sept. 14, 2025)
