Doc-maker Ben Proudfoot has come to TIFF eager 'to make real change in the world'

Halifax-born director Ben Proudfoot says he hopes the world premiere of his latest documentary can help preserve key historical archives that trace the liberation of Africa. After winning two Oscars for doc shorts, Proudfoot lands at TIFF with the feature-length film, “The Eyes of Ghana,” about the personal cinematographer of Ghana’s first president, Kwame Nkrumah. (Sept. 5, 2025)
