The U.S. Ambassador to Canada, Pete Hoekstra, says there is not a well-founded fear of device searches and detainment for Canadians reaching the U.S. border. His comments come after Global Affairs Canada updated its travel advisory to warn of enhanced scrutiny and device searches by American border guards and as recent polling suggests Canadians don't feel welcome in the United States.
