At least 29 people were killed in a fire during renovations at a nightclub in Istanbul in Turkey. The nightclub was on the ground and basement floors of a 16-story residential building on the European side of the city. The fire was extinguished and the cause of the blaze was under investigation. The victims were believed to be involved in the renovation work. (Apr. 2)
