LGBTQ+ people in Mombasa recount anti-gay protests

Mombasa, Kenya is one of many places in Africa where anti-gay protests are calling for the arrest and even death of LGBTQ+ people. Astraeus O'Levin says the attitude stems from the idea that LGBTQ+ identities are a western concept, while Ibrahim Muntanga argues economic hardship has made minorities an easy target for frustrated people.
