Liberals respond after byelection loss in Montreal stronghold

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Industry Minister François-Philippe Champagne and Foreign Affairs Minister MĂ©lanie Joly spoke to reporters before the weekly cabinet meeting about the Liberals' loss in a Montreal byelection. The Bloc QuĂ©bĂ©cois won the riding of LaSalle—Émard—Verdun by just under 250 votes. (Sept. 17, 2024)
