Newsroom Ready: Alberta pauses controversial ban on sexually graphic books in public schools
Alberta Premier Danielle Smith says her government is rewriting a ministerial order directing school divisions to ban books containing sexually explicit content to ensure classic books stay on library shelves. Smith, who was featured in a satirical story posted by author Margaret Atwood criticizing the new policy, says the new order will require books only with explicit images to be removed.
