Newsroom Ready: Trudeau open to sentencing reforms

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says his Liberal government will continue looking at changes to mandatory minimum sentences and other measures to ensure the justice system is not unfair to Black and Indigenous people. Eliminating mandatory minimum sentences was one recommendation from a group of Black MPs and senators on how to reduce systemic racism in Canada.
