Newsroom Ready: Winnipeg judge stays charges against Peter Nygard

Charges of sex assault and unlawful confinement have been stayed against former fashion mogul Peter Nygard due to missing documents. A Winnipeg judge ruled the reports of police interviews with the complainant in 1993 were destroyed without justifiable reasons, violating Nygard's right to a fair trial. (Oct. 8, 2025)
