Opposition presses minister on $900M volunteer program budget

Conservative finance critic Pierre Poilievre asked Youth Minister Bardish Chagger how, if it gave out a maximum of $5,000 per student volunteer, the controversial program that WE Charity was supposed to administer could end up spending $900 million. Chagger would say only that WE was to be paid $19.5 million but the amount could more than double if it brought in tens of thousands more volunteers.
