Quebec Sen. Amina Gerba told the Senate chamber that she had been sterilized in a Canadian hospital without her knowledge. Gerba made the revelation as the Senate debates a bill to list forced sterilization as an aggravated assault in the Criminal Code. (Oct. 10, 2025)
