South Africa says G20 will move on without the U.S.

Vincent Magwenya, a spokesman for the South African presidency which is hosting the G20 summit in Johannesburg, says countries chose to have a joint declaration even with U.S. President Donald Trump boycotting the summit. South Africa is set to transfer the G20 chairmanship to the U.S., and Magwenya is refusing Washington's idea of handing it over Sunday to a junior American diplomat. (Nov. 22, 2025).
