Teachers are ‘true heroes’ in B.C. grizzly bear attack, minister says

B.C.’s Environment Minister Tamara Davidson says teachers from an elementary school in the central coast community of Bella Coola took great risks to save their students in a grizzly bear attack. Insp. Kevin Van Damme with BC Conservation Officer Service says attacks on a large group like this are unusual. (Nov. 21, 2025).
