Unwelcomed truths and lies churn beneath Niagara Falls in the dark thriller, 'Disappearance at Clifton Hill.' Director Albert Shin says he drew from his own experiences growing up in the Ontario tourist town known for the majestic Horseshoe Falls. Like the protagonist, his family owned a motel around the corner from the kitschy promenade known as Clifton Hill. The story centres on a woman who returns home to investigate a child's kidnapping she believes she witnessed decades earlier. Shin, too, says he believes he may have seen a kidnapping and that inspired the dark tale.
